BIOGRAPHY
WPC Annie Cartwright wasn't really sure of exactly what she was getting into when she convinced DI Sam Tyler not to jump off the police station roof on day one of his official transfer.

And she's not really sure how to take the news - if you can even call it that - that he's supposedly from the future.

Here in 1973, she's a woman in a man's world - a psychology graduate whose father always told her that working for the police was too dangerous of a job for a girl - but interestingly enough, Sam Tyler makes her days just a little bit more bearable.

Even if she's not completely convinced that he hasn't suffered a severe concussion.
